A word or two on American football ...

The beautiful thing about American football is that it appeals to the masses. Really smart strategists love it. People that are obsessed with research love it. People that are interested in core values love it. Men that drink beer love it. Anyone competitive loves it. People that are fiercely loyal to their geographical area love it. People that are proud of the progress, albeit modest, that our country has made in the effort to rid our culture completely of racism and other forms of descrimination love it. And then a bunch of other people love it, too. It's kind of amazing.
